Warren is a rural town in Pennsylvania of about 11,000 people from all walks of
life. On the map, it is in the northwestern part of the state, on the edge of the Allegheny National Forest
(ANF). This federal forest area is utilized in different ways, which include
logging and
oil & gas reclamation. Kersey and Associates, P.C. services many business clients in
the natural resources harvesting industry.
However,
the ANF is by no means a business only forest. It differs from other
federal property by its multiple use designation. Recreation such as
fishing and hunting is prevalent in this area (Pennsylvania has the most hunters of any state) as well
as camping and hiking.
The
Kinzua Dam, one of the largest dams east of the Mississippi, was completed in 1965,
and is an attraction to this area. Wildlife such as Bald eagle, River otter,
Wild turkey,
and Black bear make this part of the country their home. The USCA Marathon Canoe
& Kayak National Championships will be hosted this year, right in Warren, PA! Go to the Chamber of
